We have made it through day 5 of the CLEAN diet !! Bryan and I have both lost 5 lbs and we are feeling pretty good. We even resisted all of the yummy renaissance festival food. We have been cooking delicious meals, making fruit shakes and drinking a lot of good ol H2O and green tea. Bryan has been super strong as far as will power goes, he has not had any slips. I had a half cup of coffee and a piece of gum on day 2. I had a hard time sleeping the night before and didn't think I could function without some coffee.
Overall, it has been fairly easy. I like that you don't go hungry. I am realizing how many eating/drinking habits are built into my day. It is hard to go without an americano from Starbucks after my workout. I also miss my evening snack. But, once I move past the thought/craving I am okay. :)
We have eaten at home more in the past 5 days than we have in a long time. We are looking forward to pita jungle take out on day 7 (within the diet of course). Here are a few of the meals we have enjoyed over the past few days.
