Uncle Nate and Emma rock out to Jungle Jungle Jungle

Having fun with Uncle Nate during his surprise visit to Phoenix from Tegucigalpa.

Caitlyn's First Birthday

Caitlyn sneaks a little taste of her cake.  I made her the same Martha Stewart cake that I made for Emma when she turned one.  It is made with applesauce, maple syrup, apricots and yummy homemade frosting.  No eggs in this masterpiece.  This is evidence that I can bake.  :)

A Davey girl dog pile after a fun first year birthday party.  Pizza, Cake and presents with family and friends.
Nana and Papa flew down for the special day.  Caitlyn Eva is one special baby girl, loved by so many.  She is the perfect addition to our family.  Love you sweet baby girl.  Happy first birthday! Hugs, kisses and snuggles to you.
May 9, 2009 was your party day.  I did an apple and bee theme for your special day.  You and Emma had apple dresses on from Baby Gap.  I also talked the Gap into letting me have their apple seed display for part of your decoration.  I had so much fun planning your party.  I am already planning your party for next year.  :) It's a surprise.
Making a wish on your big day.  Emma helped you blow out the candle and open presents. You loved your cake and ice cream.  Yummy.

Emma keeps us laughing with her socially acceptable responses !!

Last week Emma attended Vacation Bible School at St. Tim's.  On the last day she was chosen from her small group to go up on stage and share a "God Send".  A God Send was something that they had done for God.  The first little boy responded "Daddy" when asked what he had done for God.  Next up was Emma, she grabbed the microphone, held it right to her mouth and said... "I cleaned my WHOLE room."  The three kiddos after her said the same thing.  Bryan and I had to laugh.  We were wondering when she had actually cleaned her "WHOLE" room.  It is so funny how kids learn these socially acceptable responses.

Caitlyn loved "dancing" to This little light of mine at VBS.  She definitely has music in her soul.
