Sister Bear

C's teacher pulled me aside when I picked her up and told me what C said to her today. It went something like this...

She was working on the red rods which are a set of rods of all different lengths that the child puts in order to teach grading. She left her work and walked over to Ms. Reggie-
C- "Ms. Reggie, I am allergic to work."
R- "Oh my."
C- "Are you going to call my Mom now?"
R- "No, but I will tell her after school"

Reggie said she shared this with the staff and the director and that they all had a good laugh.

The even funnier part is that I asked C about it in the car and she said "I had an achoo and I am allergic to work." I truly think she has heard us talk about sneezing and allergies and she decided that a sneeze meant she was allergic.

Last week C came home and told us she had done the pink tower 100 times !! Wow, girl you should have that mastered.
So glad you are loving your classroom and Ms. Reggie. It makes it all worth it.

Grandpa Dan and Grandma Brenda

Congratulations Grandpa Dan and Grandma Brenda

We had a wonderful time celebrating Dan and Brenda's union. The ceremony and celebration took place in Brenda's sister's back yard in Fullerton, CA. It was a fun time and the taco man was there to feed everyone...mmm- It was 65 degrees in the evening and Emma stayed up until midnight for the first time ever, playing with Brenda's granddaughters.

too bad the shadows came out in this photo
Ashley and Will (Brenda's daughter and son in law) - the officiants of the ceremony - too funny

photo fun !

The aftermath ...
Worn out kiddos and the laundry bomb at 7:30pm on a Sunday night !

A Day at Sea World

We a fabulous day at Sea World and when I say day I mean we were there from 9:30am until 6:30pm. We saw every show and most of the sea life exhibits. We all had a ball. Oh and the weather was lovely

We began our day with breakfast with Shamu and then saw the Shamu show. We got a bit wet. Caitlyn liked getting wet...Emma did Not.

The last show of the day was a combo of Sea World meets Cirque du Soleil - it was amazing. Yes, there is a supposed audience member in the big ball ! We had a great time as a family. Afterward, we drove to Riverside, CA to stay with Auntie Jane. It was fun to see her new home and spend the next morning with her.

1st day of Montessori preschool

Miss Caitlyn woke up ready to "go to school." She has been waiting to go for...oh about a year. Here are a few snap shots of her this morning. She did a super job according to Ms. Reggie and was dancing around outside when I came to pick her up.

It was a happy day at our house. I am excited for Caitlyn and her new school adventures. Now, onto Mommy's new adventure...transitioning back to work part time.
