Lake Havasu AZ

Fun with Grandpa Dan and Brenda (and miss Julia) on Lake Havasu

We enjoyed a few days in Lake Havasu AZ visiting Bryan's family. It was HOT but we had a wonderful time. Playing on the lake and going to see Cars 2 helped us beat the warm temps. Oh and Caitlyn LOOOVEED "Baby" Grandma Davey's pug who eats waffles for breakfast every morning. Baby is in the family photo. Once C was done playing with her for the night, she slept until 8am. C wore her out. I think they both had fun. Julia (Brenda's granddaughter), was a sweetheart to Emma and Caitlyn. It was nice getting to know her.

a room fit for Miss Caitlyn

My ever so fabulous friend Tara, came over to complete C's "bigger" girl bedroom with darling pink scallops.

The idea for C's room came from the PB Kids magazine (3 years ago). Bryan did a wonderful job back then, painting 3/4 of the wall pink and the other 1/4 white (with a sharp and very accurate line). Well, at the time I was not sure how to go about adding the darling pink scallops and so it remained pink and white without darling scallops.

Tara did a wonderful job painting the most adorable scallops on her big girls' wall when they moved here into their new house. She offered to help (do) it for me. It may be a little hard to see but it is absolutely adorable and perfect.

Here is an upclose shot. I can't wait to see C's room when it is finished with her even bigger girl bed. Thank T- you are the best.

I'm a big girl now

Miss C has moved to her toddler bed and is doing a super job. She is napping and sleeping all night without getting off her bed. YAY SIS!

Reading time

C has been soooo excited to begin Montessori preschool next fall. We enrolled her in a few little preschool camps this summer at the Lutheran Church right near our house. This week is silly science and next week is preschool cooking.

Here is to a super summer 2011

our little graduate

The 3 TOPS Kindergarten classes preformed together for the end of the year Kindergarten celebration/graduation. The songs they performed followed the units/cottages they had participated in throughout the year. It was absolutely adorable. All of the big Kindergartners did a superb job.

They sang songs, did actions to go along with them and presented speaking parts. A few of the cottages they sang about were "on the farm", "ocean life" and Emma's favorite "penguins".

Emma's diploma

So proud of Miss Em and so thankful for such a fabulous year at Edu-Prize !!
