A blessing - Dad's new gig

The past few months have brought about a lot of change to our family both business wise and personally.  Bryan recently accepted a new position as CCO Chief Clinical Officer at Touchstone Health. We are extremely excited and ready for this new path that God led us down.  While we were not expecting such a big change at this time in life, we trust that God knows what we need before we do.  We are following Him and are already seeing blessings come about.  It has been hard at times but we are thankful for family, friends, faith and new opportunities.

Below is a letter that was sent out to Touchstone Staff introducing Bryan and Nate - the agency's two new leaders.
Congrats honey !!

Hello everyone,

You have recently heard the news of Frank Saverino, our current Chief Clinical Officer’s leaving us end of this month. Frank will be missed dearly by all of us! We wish him luck with his new endeavors!

I would like to update you on what is going to happen moving forward. Due to the tremendous growth opportunities and our strategic plan of expanding not only our current programs and services, but also new lines of programs and services to include new populations and geographic areas, we essentially split Frank’s position into two new ones and have recruited two top level senior executives to fill these two positions.

Please allow me to introduce, and welcome both Dr. Bryan Davey and Dr. Nathan Velez to our organization.

Dr. Bryan Davey will be taking on the role of Chief Clinical Operations Officer. Dr. Davey comes to Touchstone from his most recent position of CEO with the HOPE Group. His experience and education within the behavioral health community will allow us to not only strengthen sustainability, but grow in the right direction for both our organization and all of our amazing employees. With the inclusion of Dr. Davey, we also intend to grow within the Autism community through his guidance and expertise.  Dr. Davey will provide executive oversight to the following clinical programs & services including: Outpatient Therapy, IOP, MST, FFT, FCAP, Case Management, HNCM, Respite, as well as develop and positon ourselves as a leader of Autism services provider.

Dr. Nathan Velez will be taking on the role of Chief Clinical and Compliance Officer. Dr. Velez comes to Touchstone from his most recent position of Sr. Executive Director of Clinical Services with The Guidance Center, Inc. He will be a tremendous asset to both the clinical and compliance portion of our organization. We are excited to learn and grow from Dr. Velez’s vast amount of behavioral health clinical management experience.  Dr. Velez will provide executive oversight to Psychiatric/medical Services, Member Services, Prevention programs, Compliance and utilization/population health management, and bring medical integration into our current practice.

Please take a moment when you see them to welcome both into our organization. We are excited for this opportunity to bring both of these individuals onboard.

Thank you, Martha

A mama moved to tears

Today I had the chance to volunteer in Caitlyn's 3rd grade class.  We did Math games and it was tons of fun.  After Math I snuck into the lunchroom to have lunch with my babe and a few of her friends.  I love doing that.  I love to see a different part of her day and enjoy meeting sweet little school friends.

On my way out, I stopped to chat with Mrs. Hervas as we passed ways on the playground.  She thanked me for coming to do Math groups.  I told her it was my pleasure.  She then began to tell me how lucky she felt to have Caitlyn in her class this year.  She went on the say that Caitlyn has a smile and is filled with joy every day she comes into class and that she likes to help others.  I thanked her for recognizing these special gifts and told her that Caitlyn can be a little tender hearted too.  Mrs. Hervas said she could see that.  Then she gave Caitlyn the kindest compliment and I knew in my heart that Mrs. Hervas was beginning to know Caitlyn and her heart.  She said "I could tell from early on in the year that the reason Caitlyn was put on this earth was to lift others up".  I thanked her and teared up when I got to the car.   Caitlyn is doing what God calls us all to do, she treats others with so much kindness and grace.

With all of the changes we have going on lately, I have had a lot on my mind.  This was a welcome reminder from God that the most important things in life are strong and unwavering.  Caitlyn's love and joy is apparent to those she meets.  Thank you for being a great example to all of us Caitlyn.  We love you ! God is smiling for sure.  XO
