A Special first grade classroom

Family Matters

A note from Michele Wilson
Director of Academy Giving

Last week, I had the opportunity to meet with a new Archway family.  They attended the Town Hall and were inspired to give.  Their wish was to honor their grandmother by sponsoring a first-grade classroom, but the commemorative giving price was out of their personal budget.

After some thought, they contacted extended family members, shared their dream and asked if they would pitch in to make this happen.  In the end, the extended family came together and made four gifts equaling $5,000.  They are very excited to have the chance to sponsor a classroom and cannot wait to see the commemorative sign dedicated to the memory of their grandmother!

Who might be able to pitch in with your family?

This was the letter that was posted in the Arete Prep email letter about our donation in honor of Grandma Velma.

This is the plaque that was placed outside Caitlyn's classroom after our family donated to sponsor this classroom in honor of Grandma Velma.
