this week

I am grateful...

-for my happy and healthy girls
my hardworking and handsome hubby
-that I survived co-presenting during my first teacher training and didn't have to fake pass out
-for my new paint brush (I mean make-up brush) that helps me to look half way presentable after doing my facial art work
-for my brother's 3 page itinerary for when we visit him in D.C. It is loaded with kid friendly activities and it is in military time (what does he plan trips for someone important like HC?)
-my new crock pot and folding table (WOW, I am sooo old)
-slightly cooler weather
-the beginning of our new home, it is fun to see it being built step by step
-Emma and Caitlyn's teachers this year - they are both fabulous. Emma's proudly announces that she "runs a tight ship", which we love. Caitlyn's knows exactly how to work with her eagerness to be independent.

I had to laugh when...

-I tried to be domestic, shopped for and prepared taco soup in my old crock pot so that I could feed my family after a day of work...only to come home to find a huge pot of cold beans and raw chicken breasts because the crock pot was fried- yuck, we went to Chipotle
-Caitlyn said in the most serious voice ever while riding in the car "I am NEVER going to pick my nose again."
-my loving husband let me sleep in and even did the girls hair before he took them to school. Emma picked out a fancy pony tail from her "hair book", Bryan told her that he did it and she came to my bedside to show me. All I saw was a "daddy ponytail" with a piece hanging out. I told her it was beautiful and then smiled.
-Caitlyn yells as she leaves the house "I get to have a sound lesson today." Love that she is enjoying her sand paper sounds at Montessori.

in a snapshot...

-we met a few of our new neighbors at "meet the hood" night put on by Ashton Woods
-the girls both started Catechesis and they both enjoyed the atrium and their new teachers
-Bryan sat through his first due process hearing for a case
-we found a great new breakfast place...The Black Bear - mmmm, you need a nap afterward
-we are looking forward to having our new TEAM over for dinner and fellowship on Saturday night (new folding table needed to help seat all 12 of us)

God is great and I am happy and thankful to live life knowing that He is with me at all times and that eternal life awaits.
