Conversations with my "little" big girl
Tonight as I was tucking Emma into bed, I told her that she had been such a good helper today with Daddy gone. I went on to tell her that I am so thankful to have her as my little girl. She began to tell me that she is not a little girl, she is a big girl and that Caitlyn is my little girl. I said, "well, you will always be my special girl." We began talking about when she grows up. She told me that I will be a Nana. She asked, "Mom, who else will be in my family?" I told her that she will grow up, go to college and then God will lead her to someone special that will be her husband. She seemed okay with that and agreed that Mommy and Daddy would become a Nana and a Papa. Then she said "Lauren and Claire can be my "Mom" friends, they are growing up at the same time I am." I had to giggle. It is so fun to listen to her thoughts about the future.
